Mulberry Blackberries
Mulberry blackberries are considered a "super fruit" (including blueberry, currant and raspberry), rich in healing and healthy properties.
These fruits belong to the Moracea family and are native to the Middle East. The two most famous types of mulberry in Italy are those of white mulberry and those of black mulberry. The former have a sweet and less incisive taste; the latter are more juicy and refreshing and with a really pleasant taste.

Mulberries have always been known for their thousand properties. These include dietary and curative ones, considered important for the defense of health. Mulberry berries have few calories, but are rich in iron, potassium, magnesium and vitamins C, K and B. Inside the mulberry berries elevated is also the presence of polyphenols and flavonoids.
They are a powerful antibacterial, in fact in traditional oriental medicine they were used for mouth infections and to counteract the formation of dental caries. In fact, the decoctions of mulberry berries were used as a mouthwash or as an expectorant thanks to their antibiotic properties.
Mulberry berries contain few calories in fact they are used in low-calorie diets, in subjects who want to lose weight and keep weight under control.
Like most fruits and vegetables, mulberry berries also have a good content of dietary fiber that helps to improve the health of the digestive system.

The white mulberry (Morus alba) is native to the central and eastern areas of China, where it was used for silkworm breeding. The larva of the silkworm is in fact greedy for the leaves of the mulberry. Subsequently, in the colonial age, the white mulberry was also imported into Europe for the same reason.
Thanks to zeaxanthin, they protect vision, while they are useful in maintaining bone structure due to the presence of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin K.
White Mulberry blackberries can be consumed fresh, dried or can be used for the preparation of decoctions. Very often they are subjected to processing procedures for the realization of jams and marmalades.
Contraindications
There are no particular contraindications for taking mulberry berries. Only in case of allergies it is not recommended to take these fruits.
