WHAT IS PROPOLIS...

Propolis is a resinous and balsamic substance collected by bees, on the buds and bark of various plants (oaks, poplars, elms, pines, etc.).

In the hive it is used by bees to disinfect every part of the hive and cells before the deposition of the queen bee, to build barriers and clog cracks.

It can be considered one of the most amazing products of the hive, thanks to its particular composition and its natural richness of flavonoids. There are countless scientific researches and clinical studies that demonstrate the extreme usefulness of propolis-based preparations in numerous pathological states including:

- Bacterial infections (it is active against numerous types of staphylicocci, streptococci, salmonella, Escherichia coli, Proteus volgaris, Bacillus subtilus, etc.)

- Viral infections (including several influenza viruses, Herpes simplex etc.)

Our propolis is collected from hives located in the natural park of the Aurunci Mountains, in compliance with current regulations. The product is subjected to very accurate analyzes that attest to its purity and subsequently processed in one of the best Italian herbal laboratories.

Propolis performs numerous beneficial activities for the whole organism: the composition of caffeic acid and flavonoids makes propolis a powerful anti-inflammatory, effective in people suffering from asthma.

The list of properties of propolis is really long: it has antiviral, healing, antifungal, immunostimulant, vasoprotective effects.

It is also used to treat burns, irritations and pimples (dries and heals them).

Propolis in glycolic or alcoholic solution is useful for canker sores, abscesses, blisters of the oral cavity. On sore teeth it has a decongestant action therefore also effective on gingivitis (but in this case it must be in glycolic solution).

Propolis also gives immediate relief to the inflamed throat (use brushings of glycolic extract) and is also an excellent natural preventive product against colds and flus.
