The ingredient of fennel together with all the other components, represents a real natural aid in case of difficult digestion, abdominal cramps or bloating.
Since the times of ancient Greece, fennel was used as a natural remedy. All this is due to the fact that this plant is rich in active ingredients with digestive and carminative power but also to the high presence of estrogen-like chemicals that give it interesting properties especially for women.
Inside this herbal tea we also find linden. Leaves and flowers of the Linden tree are useful in fisionetaria to combat insomnia, nervousness and airway disorders as they are rich in properties due to the presence of several elements including:
• Essential oils and sugars.
• Flavonoids: natural chemical compounds appreciated for their health properties.
• Coumarins: substance contained in the flowering tops of the melilot (Melilotus officinalis) and in the seeds of the Coumarouna odorata (Dipterix odorata).
• Mucilages: confer mucolytic and anti-inflammatory properties effective in case of cough and phlegm. This substance is frequently associated with other substances, such as tannins and alkaloids.
Another very important element is lemon balm. This plant is also used in the treatment of headaches, when it is caused by nervous tension, thanks to the presence of essential oil (0.5%) that acts as a calming on the nervous system, and relaxing on the muscular one. Its use is particularly indicated, therefore, in the presence of a picture of general irritability, insomnia caused by excessive fatigue, nervousness, premenstrual syndrome, and tachycardia on a functional basis.
Fresh lemon balm leaf extract possesses antiviral activity, due to the presence of polyphenolic acids and polysaccharides, which are indicated against Herpes simplex.
Many properties are attributed to linden, among which we remember the astringent, diaphoretic, sedative, emollient and, above all, antispasmodic and antitussive ones.
Karkadè, rosemary, lavender, orange... and all the other components of the herbal tea, are rich in antioxidant, antiseptic and diuretic properties, as well as vitamin C and mineral salts.
