The producing farm, founded in 1950, has a mutualistic purpose and carries out its activity in all sectors of the olive supply chain, both for oil and for the table olives of "Cultivar Itrana" (Gaeta DOP and Bianca Itrana).
The associations of the first half of the twentieth century marked the history of olive growing in the city of Itri with the birth of several cooperatives for the management of social mills, in order not to submit to the local potentates and for the containment of milling costs.
In the fifties, the merger of the existing cooperatives allowed the birth of the producing farm. The associative base, progressively enlarged, is currently made up of about 400 olive growers, with an area cultivated with olive trees, mono cultivar Itrana, totaling about 700 hectares. Lately the social action of the Coop. This company has also distinguished itself for interventions to contrast the abandonment of olive groves with the direct management of 8 hectares of olive grove for rent (about 1800 olive trees).
The company's activity today is carried out in all sectors of the olive supply chain, both for the production of monovarietal oil "Cultivar Itrana", extracted from the social mill, and for the transformation and packaging of table olives (Gaeta DOP and Bianca Itrana), processed according to the natural method called "all'Itrana", which simply provides for the addition of water and salt without additional preservatives. Also part of the basket are the Paté di Olive, both White and Black obtained respectively from the mixture of pulp of Olives of Gaeta DOP and White Olives Itrana with Extra-virgin Olive Oil, flavored oils and sweet creams with hazelnut and pistachio.
The products come exclusively from the hills of Itri, where the olive groves of "Cultivar Itrana" often give way to the Mediterranean scrub and mixed holm oak woods and can tell their own story, closely linked to the tradition and typicality of the territory.
Olive growing, deeply linked to the local social fabric, has conditioned for centuries the development of the territory and consequently the life of the populations that have succeeded each other over time, strongly affecting the economic fabric.
The Cooperative has always done its utmost to give the product added value through certifications recognized at Italian and European level.
The vocation towards our land and its fruits is also expressed in the desire for confrontation that allows us to improve and perfect our art.
