almonds
Highly nutritious and rich in healthy fats, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, almonds are good for your health. Almonds can reduce hunger and promote weight loss. They have always been considered the queens of dried fruit: a real panacea and a precious and natural contribution to prevent and combat numerous diseases. They are a powerful natural antioxidant, preserving the youth and beauty of the skin and our hair.
An important property of almonds is the role of vitamin E which brings decisive benefits in mitigating the risk of heart attacks. Together with unsaturated fats it helps to reduce the growth of atherosclerotic plaque in the arteries. Among the many characteristics they possess, almonds also fall into the category of energizing foods. They contain a good amount of fatty acids, mainly mono saturated that, with a good percentage of magnese, copper and vitamin B1, intervene in the different biochemical reactions that take place in our body.
Pumpkin seeds
Pumpkin seeds have, in fact, been recognized over time several beneficial qualities.
- They keep the heart healthy. Pumpkin seeds are rich in plant sterols (phytosterols), magnesium, linolenic acid and Omega 3: all elements that lower the level of bad cholesterol in the blood and improve the health of the heart and the entire cardiovascular system.
- Promote rest and fight depressive symptoms. The action of L-tryptophan, an amino acid similar to serotonin, helps to rest well at night and improve mood. This is why it is especially useful in cases of depression.
- They are excellent natural dewormers and anti-inflammatories. Cucurbitin, an amino acid found in the pumpkin family, helps eliminate worms and intestinal parasites, while linolenic acid helps to counteract inflammation and swelling in a completely natural way.
- They fight acidity and help proper digestion. The great alkalizing properties of pumpkin counteract the stomach acid that is often created during the digestion of foods such as meat, sugars and refined flours. In addition, the seeds contain many B vitamins that allow the correct assimilation of carbohydrates and proteins and their transformation into energy.
Chia Seeds
These are small black seeds appreciated above all for their ability to provide energy. In recent years they have become very popular and nowadays they are consumed by many people who care about their health. the term "Chia" is therefore to indicate in brief the peculiar properties of the seed, rich in mineral salts (calcium, selenium, zinc, magnesium, potassium, iron), vitamins (especially vitamin C) and fatty acids (omega3 and omega6). In particular, the calcium contained in Chia Seeds is five times greater than that present in milk and in this they compete with Sesame Seeds.
In addition to the very important elements already described and mentioned in these seeds, we find vitamin C (content seven times higher than that of oranges), iron (twice as much as bananas) and potassium (three times as much as spinach). Other minerals present are selenium, zinc and magnesium, as well as vitamin A, E and B6 in addition to the aforementioned vitamin C.
