Description

Blue salt

Blue salt is one of the rarest salts that can be found on earth. This salt is collected from the remains of an ancient salt lake

The color is given by Silvite, a mineral that normally has a yellow or pink color and that only very rarely takes the blue shade. It is a pristine salt, free of additives and anti-caking agents, rich in minerals and trace elements.

This salt has always been sought after and appreciated for its "refined" taste with tones of spices and an accentuated flavor that however is not very persistent on the palate.

This salt is rich mainly in magnesium, calcium, potassium and chlorine.

  • Magnesium and calcium are indispensable for the development of bones and teeth.
  • Potassium is able to prevent and combat heart rhythm disorders, muscle cramps and feelings of fatigue and exhaustion.
  • Chlorine is especially important for our digestion and for maintaining the hydro-saline balance in the body.

It goes well with any type of dish, and is exceptional with seafood, meat dishes and truffle preparations.

Given its flavor, it is very interesting to combine it with desserts that contain chocolate or caramel.

It also lends itself very well as a scenographic effect thanks to its characteristics of structure and color, making it a must for all gourmet dishes. It can also be ground with a salt grinder, but of course the blue that characterizes it will become little visible in the dish.
